Grease Original 1978 Movie Poster

This is the original (1sh) movie poster GREASE , which was used to promote the film in theatres when it was released by Paramount  in 1978.   It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars John Travolta, Olivia Newton John, Stockard Channing, Jeff Conaway, Didi Conn, Dinah Manoff, Eve Arden, Frankie Avalon , Joan Blondell , Edd Byrnes, Sid Caesar , Michael Tucci, Alice Ghostley, Dody Goodman, Sha-Na-Na, Fannie Flagg, Ellen Travolta, Michael Biehn, and Wendie Jo Sperber.  It was directed by Randal Kleiser. The movie poster is Folded , and measures 41" x 77.", normally called a Three Sheet. Almost all original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded.  This is not considered a flaw or defect. This unrestored movie poster is graded C8, Very Fine.  Original movie posters are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Very Good to Very Fine), C6 (Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc.  It is difficult to find any C10 (Mint) original movie posers pre 1985.  This poster is immediately ready to be framed and displayed.  Many of the aforementioned minor flaws, such as the creasing around the cross folds and the somewhat doubled Fold line to the left of Olivia's right cheek will greatly be alleviated once the poster is laid flat and properly framed.   Overall, this Three Sheet of GREASE is strikingly impressive.  Not just the faces of a very young John Travolta and a beautiful Olivia Newton-John, but just the way that they both just seem so right in those roles.  It really does bring one (or at least me) right back to the movie.  Not that I should admit it, but I can hear Frankie Avalon singing "High School Dropout" right now :)!!   I think Avalon sang that song.
